What should a couple ask about their wedding music? “Everything,” says Logan Michels, founder of Paradigm Sounds. “There is nothing a couple shouldn’t ask. Our goal is to create the soundtrack to the most important and memorable night of their life.”

“Couples should always want to know important details, such as — Whether they can choose their first dance — Is the band interactive with the guests—Will we provide an Emcee for the night — Will the band make their announcements — Do we, as their wedding band, work with hired planners and venues to make sure the timeline is perfect?” As Logan says,” We go over every question they may think about or not have thought to ask.”

Welcoming Mr. Met!

They recently had a wedding with a surprise star. “We were asked to incorporate Mr. Met into our evening! The groom was an avid Mets fan and the bride hired Mr. Met to join the guests at the reception! The band had a grand entrance for him, complete with the ‘Meet the Mets’ song. He joined us on the bandstand dancing and playing instruments,. He also helped to pour drinks and serve guests, and kept guests on the dance floor the whole night!

“Each portion of a wedding has its own feel,” says Logan, “and we work with our brides and grooms to look at each of those portions of the event, their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, as separate moments.”

Music for Your Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, & Reception

Paradigm Sounds“Your ceremony can be very personal, because each song is tailored to represent those involved in that moment, whether it’s the bridal entrance, the parents walking the groom down the aisle, or the newly married couple walking down the aisle for the first time. So we like to know what songs represent each person.

“Cocktail hour is always a vibe. We often tailor this to the couple’s tastes, and guests always enjoy that choice. Whether its Bridgerton style contemporary songs, a jazz feel, hits through the decades, or a big mix, our goal is to perform songs as background music that guests enjoy but don’t feel the need to dance to.

“The reception is the always the biggest, and most exciting, conversation. We work with our couples to determine what they like or dislike, keeping in mind the tastes of their guests. We have thousands of songs couples can see on our website, and we curate the perfect song selections to keep the dance floor packed for the entire reception.”

… And For Your After-Party!

Paradigm Sounds“Let’s not forget the after-party! Our DJs are the best in the business. Our DJ hybrid option is great for an after-party. Adding electric violin, percussion, sax, or additional singers to an after-party really keeps the energy of the night going. And clients LOVE to choose their favorite songs for our DJs to spin.”

Logan and his team make music and entertainment suggestions if needed. “Clients can find our song list on our website and we work with them to determine what they like and dislike, and what would work best for the evening. With over a decade of experience, we know all the songs that will keep guests happy and keep the dance floor packed.

“Our musicians are the best in the business. They are top tier, extremely talented, animated, and interactive. They love what they do, which is is often unique in today’s industry.”

Robots with Lasers, Disco Ball Dancers, Stilt-Walkers, Jugglers, & More!

Paradigm Sounds (Calypso Rae Photography)“We also offer immersive entertainment,” Logan tells us. “If a couple wants to add an interactive feel to their evening, we have numerous options. Robots with lasers, disco ball dancers, fancy greeters, themed characters such as stilt- walkers, jugglers, living trees or statues, or choreographed dancers. They’re all very popular add-ons.”

Paradigm Sounds has a music philosophy tailored to brides and grooms and their guests and family. “Our philosophy is that every event is the most memorable event of someone’s life, and needs to be treated as such. Our goal is to create perfection every time. We think about an event from every angle, and make sure we know everything about what’s happening. Sometimes I think we’re a planning company, and not just an entertainment company!”

What’s most exciting about playing at a wedding? “What isn’t exciting?” says Logan with an ear-to-ear smile. “You get to help create a perfect moment for couples, bring joy, see family and friends truly happy to celebrate a beautiful union. It’s all exciting!”
