The Wedding of Natalia & Anthony ...
Why We Chose Our Venue ...
“Nanina’s In The Park is the first venue my dad and his partners owned. It offered a glorious canvas for our dream wedding. They are wonderful at working closely with each couple and we were thrilled to receive such attention. We hired Pat Glenn Productions as our party planner and florist so my parents, Anthony, and I could focus on other aspects of the wedding.
“We were amazed by the outcome of the effort from the staff at Nanina’s and Pat and Glenn. They helped us create the wedding of our dreams, becoming our friends along the way.”

“A Dream Come True”
Anthony and I knew each other before starting to date. Our parents grew up in the same town and were Nutley High School graduates. Coincidentally, Anthony became best friends with my cousins. As time went on, we developed a secret crush on each other, and we went on our first date to Del Posto.
On Mother’s Day two years ago, Anthony proposed in a private room at The Rainbow Room. The room was beautifully decorated for the special moment. There was a pathway of white rose petals leading up to my future husband on one knee. We celebrated with champagne, caviar, and a special dinner. Light music played from the two-piece band he had hired. Our life together forever was about to begin!
When planning our wedding, it was important and meaningful to me to incorporate the three sister properties co-owned by my father, Joe Maurillo. We said our vows on September 25th, which is the anniversary of Anthony’s parents, the late Anthony and Kimberly Luberto. Followed by our cocktail reception at Nanina’s In The Park!
Nanina’s In The Park is the first venue my dad and his partners owned and there is a sense of history there. With the newly decorated renovations, it offered a glorious canvas for our dream wedding. They are wonderful at working very closely with each couple and we were thrilled to receive such attention. We decided to hire Pat Glenn Productions as our party planner and florist so my parents, Anthony, and I could focus on other aspects of the wedding. We were amazed by the outcome of the effort from the staff at Nanina’s and Pat and Glenn. They worked alongside each other and all of us to create the wedding of our dreams, becoming our friends along the way.
Our ceremony was a full mass at The Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, a few miles from Nanina’s In The Park. Most Reverend Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli officiated our wedding. We felt blessed to say our vows there, surrounded by loving family and friends. The architectural style of the cathedral is breathtaking. We added two arrangements of hydrangeas and orchid hybrid delphiniums throughout the cathedral.
Our guests were greeted at Nanina’s In The Park by a boxwood champagne wall, accented with white orchids. We opted for a club-lounge, cocktail reception vibe and transformed the ballroom with a custom gold mirrored bar. Throughout the room, there were white couches, coffee tables, and high tops that left plenty of space for people to sit and gather or walk through the room as they pleased. Various white floral arrangements completed the room and the dramatic arrangement with white orchids in the middle of the bar was exquisite. Our continuous cocktail reception consisted of stations including imported white truffles, chef prepared sushi, and gourmet scallops. Butler-passed hors d’oeuvres and short plates, such as diced lobster tail, deviled eggs with caviar, and lobster mac and cheese in cups, were perfect, delicious little bites. We hired Chris Norton to perform for the evening. He’s a phenomenal singer and had our crowd entertained all night. Everyone was dancing throughout the ballroom, which added to the club feel!
A very special thanks to our parents. Our wedding day would not have been complete and successful without your support and love. We truly appreciate your time and effort in making every wedding dream we had come true. Thank you to our family and friends for celebrating and especially to Nanina’s In The Park, Pat Glenn Productions, and all our vendors that made the day perfect! We love you all!
