“Breathtaking Views”
Kyle and I met through mutual friends at a country concert. I am a teacher and athletic trainer and he is a painting contractor. We immediately hit it off and a week later he asked me out on our first real date. We’ve been inseparable ever since.
We dated for about a year when Kyle proposed in my living room. I loved having a private moment with just the two of us and my dog. It couldn’t have been more perfect. After, we went to his family’s house to share the great news. Later that night, we picked up my parents at the airport to deliver the same surprise!
About a year later we tied the knot at SkyView Golf Club. We loved the absolutely breathtaking views. The cocktail hour room and ballroom, both recently renovated, are beautiful. The second we walked into SkyView we knew we’d found our wedding venue. We met with Michelle Flores Payano, the banquet sales manager, who was beyond helpful throughout the entire process. She made everything so easy with great suggestions and fun ideas! We chose our photographers after seeing their wonderful artwork hanging on the walls. We loved that we could trust SkyView’s recommendations, and we know we couldn’t have made a better choice! Not only were they super easy to work with, they gave us the most amazing pictures!
We were married outside, underneath the arbor with a beautiful sky above us. Gorgeous scenery and sweeping views served as a picturesque backdrop. Kyle’s father created beautiful custom doors for us to walk through when entering the ceremony and my brother officiated, two very special aspects for us.
Our guests entered the cocktail hour to be greeted by stunning floor-to-ceiling windows. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests raved about our potato bar! We had two live stations, passed hors d’oeuvres, a carving station, and three additional chafing dishes. Michelle brought Kyle and I each a plate with a little bit of each item so we could enjoy our food while mingling with our guests.
We kept our reception decor simple and elegant. Amber uplighting enhanced the ivory tablecloths and navy napkins. Our centerpieces were lace-covered mason jars filled with blush roses, greenery, and baby’s breath, alongside lanterns filled with votive candles. We decorated the fireplace mantel with more roses, candles, and greenery, as well as a wooden “K & K” sign.
Dinner was served duet style with each guest receiving both chateaubriand and chicken francaise. Our guests loved trying both dishes! Our DJ kept everyone on the dance floor all night with amazing music! They brought a fog machine that made for really fun pictures.
We cannot thank our families enough, especially our parents, for all their love and support and helping us have the most amazing day. We’d also like to thank all our vendors who made the day possible. It is because of their hard work we were able to have the wedding of our dreams that we will cherish for a lifetime!
