Monteverde at Oldstone, built in 1760 by the Van Cortlandt family and rich with history, is majestically situated upon 27 wooded acres overlooking the Hudson River in Cortlandt Manor, New York, just 50 minutes north of Manhattan. With sweeping vistas and natural beauty, this 18th-century estate has many unique components. From our elegantly restored mansion, to the Grand Tented Pavilion, the Garden House, Stone Patio, intimate Grape Arbor, and stunning Grand Lawn, Monteverde at Oldstone is the perfect backdrop for any event.
To complement our exceptional backdrop, we offer our expertise in wedding planning and our delicious locally sourced seasonal food. Our executive chef is inspired by current culinary trends and can customize a menu that is reflective of your taste.
The magic of Monteverde comes alive as a bride arrives on the morning of her wedding to begin preparations in our mansion’s second floor Bridal Lounge and Salon. Later that day, she will descend a sweeping stone staircase to meet her groom for the ceremony on the lower Grand Lawn.
A culinary adventure awaits as guests transition to cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on our outdoor stone patio and 100 year-old Grape Arbor. Here guests will begin their culinary adventure with an array of exquisitely presented hors d’oeuvres which highlight locally sourced fresh ingredients.
Having two receptions sites; a permanent Tented Pavilion and a Historic Mansion, Monteverde at Oldstone can accommodate weddings from 50 – 360 guests. A unique feature that sets Monteverde apart is that the tented pavilion is furnished with a ceiling liner, studio lighting, a permanent floor, a parquet dance floor, a fully equipped cook tent, a generator, a vanity restroom trailer, and more.
Monteverde also features seven standard guest rooms and two suites for overnight accommodations.
