How We Chose Our Venue ...

Evana & Lloyd's Wedding at Heritage at Bethpage (photo: Park Ave Studio)“We chose Heritage Club at Bethpage because it is beautiful and the people who work there are incredible! Mindy Savvides, sales manager, gave us a tour of the venue and we instantly fell in love with it. She was so excited for us. We knew she would go above and beyond and that’s exactly what she and the entire staff did!

“She and William Lodato, the general manager, helped come up with a special menu for us, got us in touch with the best vendors, and helped add special touches like a mirror seating chart and our own personalized monogram on the dance floor. Edgar Gamboa was our maître d’ and did an incredible job running our party so smoothly.”

“An Incredible Staff”

We met in 2008 when we were 17 and 15, respectively. I went to high school with Nicholas’ cousin, Jeanette, and Nicholas and I met at a family party. Over the years, we always wished each other happy birthday since our birthdays are a day apart. About 10 years later, we saw one another at a Christmas party and he asked me to dinner at Quality Italian a few days later. We were dating ever since. Our first trip was to California in 2019 and in a subsequent trip Nicholas proposed on Crissy Beach under the Golden Gate Bridge.

We chose Heritage Club of Bethpage because it is beautiful and the people who work there are incredible! Mindy Savvides, sales manager, gave us a tour of the venue and we instantly fell in love with it. She was so excited for us. We knew she would go above and beyond and that’s exactly what she and the entire staff did!

She and William Lodato, the general manager, helped come up with a special menu for us, got us in touch with the best vendors, and helped add special touches like a mirror seating chart and our own personalized monogram on the dance floor. Edgar Gamboa was our maître d’ and did an incredible job running our party so smoothly. Janet, our bridal attendant, didn’t leave our sides the whole night. We enjoyed every second of our wedding because of the incredible staff.

Our ceremony was at St. Anthony of Padua Church, the church I grew up in. We had a quartet playing during our ceremony.  Our priest, Father Joe Catafago, had performed my sacraments of Communion and Confirmation and became very special to me and my family. It was very special to have Father Joe there to perform our Sacrament of Matrimony.

We had a live pianist from Absolute Entertainment playing cocktail hour music. Nicholas surprised me with an ice luge of our mini golden doodle, Louie. We had a fresh mozzarella station with live action mozzarella being made; a raw bar with chilled lobsters, oysters, clams, and shrimps; a sushi station; a steak house station with bone in ribeye; a Japanese station; a carving station with corned beef and pastrami; a seafood bar with fried calamari, baked clams, and mussels; and a pasta station with 30 lb cheese wheels.

The ballroom is simply breathtaking. Floor-to-ceiling windows at Heritage Club overlook a beautiful brick patio and golf course with a perfect view of the sunset. Our florals were a mix of whites and creams and greenery flowers hung from the ceiling. Candles and romantic amber uplighting surrounded the room. We had a live percussionis, a live sax player, and a live painter who painted our first dance. Guests enjoyed the video 360 photo booth as well as taking photos in front of our flower backdrop photo booth.

Dinner options included a “Land and Sea duet” with grilled filet mignon in a Merlot reduction with Chilean sea bass buerre blanc served with parsnip puree, purple potato, and broccolini; our Tuscan chicken entrée had sun-dried tomatoes, lemon, and garlic and was also served with parsnip puree and broccolini.

We had a four-tier wedding cake alternating between layers of Chantilly berry and vanilla cake and chocolate ganache with chocolate cake. For dessert, we also had a Gelato cart from Dolce & Gelato, a cheesecake martini station, a chocolate fondue station, a pastry station, and a cannoli station. We had a carnival station with pretzels, churros, and zeppole’s as our guests left. Our after-party was in the Lenox room of the Heritage Club where we had a DJ, a disco ball, blue uplighting and white laser lights, a cigar bar, and a “late night” food station with boneless chicken wings, cheeseburgers, chicken parmesan sliders, mozzarella sticks, and shoestring fries.

Our wedding was truly a fairy tale for us and we owe it all to the staff at Heritage Club, our incredible vendors, and of course our family and friends. We are so incredibly blessed to have the most amazing parents, family, and friends, and we thank you all for making our wedding day one we will never forget.
