Caitlin: The day of the wedding, Jeanne held my train as I walked down the steps. Jaclyn, along with Jeanne and her daughter Maddy, helped with everything. Our ceremony was outside and the venue has a beautiful indoor-to-outdoor transition with open French doors. We wrote our own vows, which was my favorite part of the ceremony. Right after our ceremony, we had a private room with appetizers and our signature drinks. Our cocktail hour was held in the music room, the entrance foyer, and the library. We had live music and the food was so delicious. The interior has a lot of marble and fresco ceilings and its big windows brought in natural light for the bars and the dining area.
Chris: They had this amazing Barnegat Bay flounder, which was a big favorite. The braised beef short ribs were amazing too. Two of the three layers of our cake were lemon and one was cannoli, and we also had passed desserts and an assortment of pastries and small petit fours.
Chris & Caitlin: The first ones we want to thank are our parents. They made our wedding weekend a reality and showered us with love and support. Jaclyn Fisher, our wedding planner, was outstanding throughout the process. Both of us were super busy during this time. I was finishing my PhD and Caitlin was finishing her residency and about to start her fellowship. The scale of the construction project was massive and even six months before the wedding there were still many things to get done, but by then we had so much trust in their team and their high standards that we knew this was going to be perfect. We want to thank all our family and friends who made the trip. It was the best day, and we got to share it with the people we love.
