"Four years after we met, Mike’s parents arranged a trip to Israel for us. We were staying at a resort on the Red Sea in Eilat. On the fourth day, as the sun began to set, Mike got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

"We knew we wanted to get married somewhere in the country, but still close to the city. Upon recommendations from a friend, we visited The Garrison. We loved the glass windows in the reception room and the quaint restaurant for our cocktail hour.

"On our wedding day, Robbyn Sciullo and Amanda DePalma, our planners at The Garrison, made sure everything was in place. Hundreds of candles lit up the room for our ceremony. As our guests arrived, they were greeted with hot apple cider.

"After the ceremony we went to the restaurant to enjoy cocktails and Macabee pizza bagels, made by our family business. The butternut squash soup shooters were a huge hit, along with the lamb chops and meatballs.

"The reception area was glowing with candlelight, which was bouncing off the windows. Our band, Soulsystem Orchestras, played incredible sets that had our friends and families dancing all night long.

"The food was incredible. The Garrison’s kitchen is known for using the freshest homegrown ingredients with fantastic rustic presentations. For dinner we were served a light salad and a choice of either Chilean sea bass with a marmalade sauce or filet mignon in a red wine sauce.
"We had a vanilla wedding cake with pistachio icing, and we hosted an after-party which gave us a chance to reflect on the night with our friends.
