"Dave and I met on the Yahoo.com dating website in late November of 2004. At the time he was teaching ceramics at a private school near Boston and I was a social worker. When I saw Dave’s profile he was exactly what I was looking for. I sent him a two-line note to find out more about him. We sent long emails back and forth for about two weeks.

"Our first date was at Naked Fish, a Cuban seafood restaurant in downtown Boston. I believe I loved him from that first date, and probably before.

"Six months later we went to see a play and have dinner. We ended up walking over to Naked Fish, where we had our first date. At dinner Dave put the ring box in front of me and asked me to marry him. I said yes. David told me that two months prior, when he asked my family for their blessing, my grandmother had given him the ring. It was my great grandmother’s!

"Though we were living in Boston, we chose the Crystal Plaza for our wedding, not only for its beauty and excellent reputation, but because my parents had gotten married there over 30 years ago.

"It also was convenient for our families, most of whom were from the tri-state area. I was able to get the same rabbi who married my parents to perform our ceremony! Although the Crystal Plaza has been completely redone since my parents’ wedding, it was still so romantic to know they said their vows there, and recited them in front of the same rabbi!

"Working with Fred Fogg, the manager at the Crystal Plaza, made our experience very easy. It felt as if the Crystal Plaza’s gracious and friendly staff anticipated our every need in the most unobtrusive way. There was even a butler standing by with club soda to remove a stain that got on my dress during our pre-ceremony outdoor photography!

"The food, from the cocktail hour straight through dinner and dessert, was not only lavish, but absolutely delicious and decadent. For dinner our guests enjoyed oven-roasted filet mignon with a Barolo wine demi glace, veal chop served with fresh rosemary, medallions of grilled chicken with chopped plum tomato, arugula, and red onion, and grilled filet of halibut topped with parsley and garlic pesto. Our guests are still raving over the spectacular meal!

"I will always cherish the memory of the first dance with my husband, twirling around that gorgeous room, surrounded by our family and friends. I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful husband, a more beautiful venue, or a more perfect day!"
