For a balance between softness and strength, we consulted makeup artist Lilly Rivera of BridalGal. "This look is great for the modern woman who enjoys expressing her sense of style," she says. "On your wedding day, you don’t want to look too overpowering, so it’s important to chose colors that harmonize with your skin color, hair color, and accessories."

On Raquel’s eyes she uses shades of light pink on the lids, followed by plum tones and warm browns on the outer corners. "This will lift the eyes up and outward, and bring attention to the headpiece she has chosen." For added glamour, artificial brown lashes are applied. On the cheeks, she uses a glowing pink blush for luminosity and contours about the cheekbones. To complement the strong eye, she uses an intense pink lip color to polish the entire look.

"You can soften emphasized features with a crown bedecked by hair accessories," adds Lilly. "Raquel has gorgeous curly hair, which inspired a sophisticated, yet whimsical and sexy updo." To achieve this look, stylist Jorge twists the hair upwards, allowing curls to flow freely on top. Finally, a headpiece is placed on the crown, bringing attention to the feminine upsweep.
